The location is what defines this lodge, situated above the Five Sisters Falls in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, making this a truly unique location.
Accommodation & Facilities
The rooms are split into various options, each one offering a unique experience and a unique view. You can choose from a waterfall, jungle or mountain view, but whichever one you go for you're sure of an astonishing natural vista. The rooms are distinctly different, but all carry a feeling of luxury mixed perfectly with local style and natural ambience. The rooms all have showers and a ceiling fan, with internet available in the public areas of the lodge. The lodge offers private access to the waterfall as well as access to private organic gardens. The lodge also has its own private spa on site, offering a selection of massage treatments and traditional beauty treatments.
Dining
The lodge has a treehouse restaurant perched high up a rainforest ravine, offering fantastic views of the surrounding flora and fauna. Breakfast, lunch and dinner consist of local cuisine as well as a selection of dishes from around the world to suit any taste. The hotel bar serves drinks and light snacks until late. The full menu can also be ordered to your room during restaurant hours.
Activities
The main attraction at GAÏA River Lodge is the natural surroundings, and to take advantage of this the lodge offers a variety of activities to view the wildlife and vegetation found close-by. Off-site tours of the local Mayan temples can also be arranged. For those who are more adventurous, boat tours of the creek and even a canopy zip-line are all available to guests of the lodge. You can even embark on a horseback jungle adventure.
