About Miavana, Nosy Ankao

Perfectly combining conservation, superb guiding and luxurious villas, Miavana is one of Madagascar’s most unique destinations.

An ultra luxurious lodge, designed by the architects of the impeccable North Island in the Seychelles, with one, two and three bedroomed villas spaced out along the western coast, guests can enjoy views of the azure bays of Nosy Ankao, as well as stunning views across to the mountainous landscapes of the mainland.

Accessed only by helicopter, Miavana is sure to enthrall before you even set foot on the island. When you do, however, you will continue to be charmed by the resort’s high-end villas, sumptuous cuisine and huge selection of activities available.

The strong focus on conservation, that ensures the breath-taking surrounds are preserved, is a real bonus too.

Lodge Details

Style

A selection of one, two and three bedroomed villas set right on the shores on the Indian Ocean with spacious design and luxurious finishing touches.

Setting

Nosy Ankao is part of the private five-island archipelago off Madagascar’s north eastern coast. Warm Indian Ocean waters lap the sand in front of the lodge, and further out lies the coral reefs with their astounding variety of marine life. The owners aim to preserve the local environs while helping communities ethically sustain themselves.

Accommodation & Facilities

The 14 large villas at Miavana (minimum of 450m²) provide self-contained accommodation for guests to enjoy not only the comforts of their bedroom but also living and dining areas. Each villa benefits from uninterrupted ocean views as well as a private deck with your very own sun loungers and plunge pool.

There is a world-class spa on site too if you wish to indulge further while staying on this paradise island.

Dining

The cuisine offered at Miavana must, of course, live up to the high standards of the rest of the resort. Expect delectable meals plated with elegance and finesse and a wide selection of beverages.

Activities

Activities can be decided by yourselves on a day-by-day basis. Whether you want to enjoy sustainable fishing, swim in the Indian Ocean or simply relax on the beach, the choice is yours.
