About Cottar's Camp - Cottar's Conservancy, Southern Mara

This timeless safari camp, with 1920s décor and pristine views, harks back to the golden age of safari to give you a real Out Of Africa experience. Cottar's is situated within a private conservancy of the Masai Mara, and benefits from easy access to the main park. With just 10 tents, the award-winning Cottar’s Camp provides an intimate experience for all guests, and it is also a driver of conservation in the region. The Cottar's Wildlife Conservation Trust (CWCT) runs a scout operation for wildlife monitoring, anti-poaching and anti-deforestation, and a host of other functions necessary to operate a wildlife conservancy.

The CWCT have even acquired a gyrocopter to do aerial reconnaissance of activities within the conservancy and wider Mara area to help build a timelapse database of land-use change, wildlife counts and livestock counts. Cottar’s also conducts local clinic visits (dental, ambulance transfers and other general services) which are arranged by volunteer groups who come through the camp.

Feel like royalty as you relax in the marquee tents of Cottar's Camp after an excitig day on safari.
