Accommodation & Facilities
There are nine individual cabins available at Nimmo Bay; six of which are located on the riverbanks with another three further back into the lush rainforest. Each of these beautiful buildings were created with the environment in mind; located around nature as you can listen to the tide from the intertidal cabins and the spring water waterfall from the streamside cabins. All the cabins have two bedrooms and one bathroom all furnished with solid wood furniture. Ideal for families and small groups travelling together, it is also possible to privately hire the entire resort for that extra bit of exclusivity.
Meals at Nimmo Bay are delicious and comprised of fresh, locally sourced ingredients with ample fresh seafood such as salmon, oysters and meats from local farms. The experienced and knowledgeable chef will create delectable cuisine for all of your meals; breakfast and dinner at the bay whilst lunch can be served anywhere from a glacier to a white sand beach and a pristine lake.
There is a huge range of activities for you to get involved in at Nimmo Bay; from kayaking, windsurfing, snorkelling and paddle boarding straight off the dock. Then why not explore the area by hiking a range of trails for the beginners and for the more experienced you can also climb Mount Stevens which forms a magnificent backdrop to the resort. Rock climbing, rope swing and tubing are just a few activities aimed at the adrenalin seekers and to keep the children happy. Of course being located within the Great Bear Rainforest itself you can go in search of the incredible grizzly bears on foot, in SUVs and helicopter.
Children are welcome at Nimmo Bay but it should be noted that it is recommended for older children due to the nature of the activities available and the location of the accommodation.
