Accommodation & Facilities
Each of the eight bedrooms are located within the floating lodge with stunning views across the river and the Great Bear Rainforest. All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and comfy double or twin beds. The lodge is powered by both wind and solar power to ensure that their promise of sustainability ensues.
During your stay at the Great Bear Lodge all of your meals are included. The menu at the lodge is comprised of incredibly fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Ranging from the wide range of recently caught salmon to the hand baked desserts and freshly baked breads.
The main focus at the lodge is to view and learn about the remarkable grizzly bears of the area; throughout your stay here there will be two sessions available to you each day, tailored entirely to the bears activity and location. As well as the grizzlies you will have the opportunity to spot black bears, wolves, river otters, bald eagles and harbour seals. In the evenings you will be able to listen to talks and presentations given by the knowledgeable wildlife biologists.
