The Costa Rica Marriott is a large luxury hotel in a beautiful colonial hacienda, featuring some unique and original architecture.


Located within a 30 acre coffee plantation, the hotel is 15 minutes from downtown San Jose and just 10 minutes from Escazu and Santa Ana.

Accommodation & Facilities

The rooms and suites are well decorated using elegant furnishings and twists of colour. Sumptuous own brand bedding is supplied with designer duvets for a relaxing night’s sleep, as well as cable TV, a safe, mini bar and a coffee maker.

Rooms are available with either a poolside or skyline view as a king or double, and the Presidential suite situated on the top floor contains a wonderful whirlpool. The better the room, the more you are given; some have separated living areas, others have executive lounge access with ‘special benefits’, such as complimentary food and an honour bar. Most have floor to ceiling windows which you can open to welcome in your spectacular surroundings.

There are a range of restaurants on the premises, as well as bars, a coffee house and an exotic cocktail lounge featuring live music. A fitness centre is on the premises with cardiovascular equipment and weights. If you are looking for something a little more relaxing and indulgent, make an appointment at the Kuo Spa which offers a range of exotic treatments from body scrubs and wraps to massages and steam rooms.


Within the restaurants you will find a range of Spanish and International cuisines. La Isabela Tapas and Wine Cellar does exactly what it says on the tin and Antigua is a more casual restaurant and Bar with Latin American cuisine. The Casa Del Café (coffee house) serves light meals for lunch and breakfast, as well as a coffee and substantial dinner. La Castilla serves exotic cocktails in a lobby bar environment to the rhythm of live music. There are plenty of restaurants in the local area too if you wish to leave the resort.


In the local area there’s nature preserve trails, river rafting, horseback riding and hiking. There is also bowling, squash and golf more the more sport inclined.
