Monteverde Sky Tram & Trek
See the forest from a different perspective today as you head up towards the canopy. The Sky Tram travels up the mountains to arrive in a wide observation platform on the highest point of the reserve, where you can enjoy the view and also have the possibility to walk a short trail. At this point you switch to Sky Trek which is a thrilling zip line circuit. Your tour will start riding an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views. From this area, you will start riding down on a zip line track stretching across canyons and in between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins; ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Why not explore the small town of Monteverde or just relax by the pool?
Arenal Hanging Bridges & La Fortuna Waterfall
Start your day at the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a 617 acre stretch of rainforest that boasts a series of winding trails and bridges. Upon arrival, you will start with a 2-mile hike along a well-maintained trail which features 16 bridges where you will learn about the surrounding wildlife and jungle canopy. Afterwards you will visit the beautiful la Fortuna waterfall, a series of steps lead to the base of the falls where the rushing water plunges into an aquamarine pool where you can take a quick dip to cool off. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant in the town of La Fortuna before returning back to the lodge. Spend the remainder of your day at leisure.
