About the Aubrey Hotel, Santiago

About the Aubrey Hotel, Santiago

The Aubrey Hotel is a beautifully appointed and uniquely restored hotel in the heart of Santiago, providing an unusually central escape from the city! The original historic mansion has been combined with the neighbouring house to create a contrast of old and new, creating a work of art in itself. Lights have been strategically placed to bounce off the historic and modern shapes and art deco features, which have been carefully retained, creating a wonderfully unique place to stay.

The hotel, originally built in 1927, took 3 years to renovate and has done well in keeping its original Spanish mission style architecture, opening again in 2010.

Aubrey Hotel details

Style

Calling itself an ‘urban retreat’, the hotel luxuriously blends art, comfort and space to create modern spaces in a unique and historical setting. Rooms are all individually designed with their own character making for a more personalised stay.

Setting

The Aubrey Hotel is just a quick walk from the town centre, at the foot of Cerro San Cristobel Hill, a twenty minute walk from the airport. The hotel is within the Parque Metropolitano, one of the 6 largest urban national parks in the world.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are a variety of rooms to choose from, starting with the Habitaciones Constitution, which have balconies overlooking the Bellavista neighbourhood. Pavilion rooms are slightly larger with their own outdoor open air patio and outdoor 2 person Jacuzzi. The Lofts and Mannarelli rooms creatively use the abstract shaped upstairs spaces to create modern bedrooms for guests and the Terrazas have their own private terrace. There are 2 suites; the Art Deco Suite and San Cristobal Studio, both of these have lots of space for seating and large baths to relax. All rooms and suites have free Wi-Fi, large beds, LCD TV’s, mini bars and fine cotton sheets. They are all individually designed with their own flair, one room could be straight from the orient, another with zebra pattered spreads, like a scene from Africa.

There are plenty of salons and public seating areas, all fashionably designed, as well as massage and manicure services, laundry service, mobile phone rental, multilingual staff and an outdoor Jacuzzi swimming pool.

Dining

The brilliant restaurant serves delicious and inventive dishes and the menu is constantly changing.

Activities

There are lots of bars and restaurants to explore in Bellavista, as well as theatres and music clubs. This is one of the city’s most important art districts and there is an extensive list of tourist attractions. Close to the Aubrey Hotel is La Chascona, a must see museum, a few streets from this is the best place to shop in the city, Patio Bellavista. Being in Cerro San Cristobel means there is plenty to explore; ride the Funicular rail cars up the 300 metre high hillside, visit the zoo or botanical gardens, the pool or follow one of their scenic trails.

Child Policy

Children of all ages welcome.
