Style
Pousada Trijunção’s style reflects the Cerrado’s exceptional beauty. Warm natural materials are complimented by the luxury of contemporary design.
Setting
Located uniquely at the meeting point of three Brazilian states – Goiás, Bahia and Minas Gerais – Pousada Trijunção is 388km from Brasilia, accessed by a 5-hour car journey or 30-minute light aircraft flight. The Cerrado is a unique wonder and a haven for nature. As a habitat it acts as a sanctuary in the dry season and a pathway to the rich fauna and flora of this region, connecting important biomes.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are three different suites available at this accommodation. The standard suite includes a king-sized bed with 600-thread cotton linen, towels and Trousseau robes. The premium suite offers a living room, a balcony and a large bathroom on top of this. The master suite has similar amenities but with the added luxury of a private hot tub and two balconies, with one entrance from the living room and another entrance from the bedroom.
Dining
The menu at Pousada Trijunção has been inspired by Brazilian literary works about the Cerrado. Brazilian literature makes abundant references to the Cerrado, most notably the works of Guimarães Rosa, which describe “outside cooking” – with meals on balconies and in outdoor settings – and “inside cooking”, when travellers were invited to sit at tables. Dishes reflect the three different states of Minas Gerais, Goiás and Bahia, with culinary traditions combined from each. Food can also be served at any time of the day, eliminating the concern with schedules and ensuring comfort and convenience.
Activities
Recommended activities include birdwatching, as here guests can search and identify a variety of species of exquisite birds in their natural habitat. For the more intrepid guest, there is also the option to take a night kayak or boat ride in search of the dwarf caiman. Another much sought-after species, and one of the most emblematic animals of the area is the maned wolf. Pousada Trijunção maintains a research project dedicated to the preservation of the endangered maned wolf, in partnership with the NGO Onçafari. Guests can also visit the project and witness the wolf in its natural habitat.
Child Policy
Children of any age are welcome.
