A luxurious jungle lodge, originally used as a family retreat by Francis Ford Coppola before it was opened to the public in 1993.

When it comes to guest accommodation, there is a range to choose from depending on your needs. The two Honeymoon Cabanas are perched over a waterfall, with large private decks to enjoy the views. The Riverfront Cabanas have wrap around walkways for panoramic views of the Privassion River and feature native and local textiles and art, as well as a hand painted bath. The Garden View Cabanas are set into the lush gardens, with their own screened porch and antiques featured throughout. Deluxe Cabanas were opened in 2008 and have become very popular within their secluded settings, close to natural waterfalls and pools. There are just two of these cabanas, each at the east of the property overlooking Privassion Creek. There is a Family Cabana, with that extra space needed for the added guests and wonderful views over the garden complete with hammock to enjoy them from. The Villas each have 2 bedrooms with their own bath, which open off the large living room. These also have there own kitchenette and have a huge 1,600 foot square area.Francis Ford Coppola’s Villa has a private plunge pool, sun deck set into a tropical garden and well equipped kitchen. This villa has 2 large bedrooms, each with its own large bathroom, the main attraction here, apart from the size, is the attention to detail. The showers and baths have hand painted tiles, the dining table is antique and hand carved and the eclectic furnishings feature not just artisan masks, antiques and hand carved figurines, but some of Coppola’s personal art. With a full time attendant at your beck and call via walkie talkie and a huge range of amenities, such as locally produced, organic bath products, Wi-Fi access, a barbeque and a choice of goose down or hypo-allergenic pillows, there is little else you could imagine from your perfect Belizean jungle lodge stay. Last but by not means least is the Enchanted Cottage, a great atmosphere for creative’s with stunning views over the tumbling waterfalls and the Maya Mountains. This extraordinarily luxurious cottage has under floor heating, a private infinity pool and kitchen. Of course, you will have your own attendant 24/7 to please your every whim, whether it be a cocktail in the afternoon, a barbeque for dinner or a lift down to the main lodge…
All accommodations at the lodge feature bathrobes, a safe, mini bar, shell phone (to connect with reception), ceiling fans, tea and coffee supplies and more.
At the main lodge you will find a gift shop, horse stables and an organic garden. When it comes to swimming, as well as the pools at the lodge filled with natural water, you can venture out to find secluded rock pools for a refreshing dip!
The lodge also has a waterfall spa.
The restaurant serves divine Italian cuisine, made from fresh ingredients from the organic garden.
Activities include hiking through the jungle, horseback riding, a moonlight jaguar quest, guided mountain biking, swimming and there are yours through the reserve as well. The birding here is fantastic and there are workshops to be taken advantage of where you will learn about ground breaking jaguar research!
