An explorative safari venturing to the Masai Mara in the hope of witnessing the natural phenomena that is the Great Migration; following this incredible experience you will travel to the Kenyan Coast for some days of relaxation.
Your family’s adventure begins even before you reach your first camp, your first game drive will begin en-route, sure to keep your children on their toes you are sure never to forget their excitement when they spot the first animal jumping out of the bush. You will then spend the next couple of days exploring the Masai Mara where you and your children may even spot unique fauna from the camp itself. Situated close to the Mara River there is ample wildlife wandering through and are just as inquisitive as you are.
The next stop on your journey will be the Mara North Conservancy, a wonderful area of the Masai Mara and as it is the most densely populated wildlife areas of the Mara there are plenty of creatures, great and small, to engage your children’s curiosity. Your final stop will be a relaxing stay at Diani Beach where you can scuba dive and see the amazing marine life that lives just off the Kenya coastline.
On arrival into Jomo Kenyatta Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to Wilson for your flight to the Mara where you will be transferred to Rekero. This seasonal Camp, set up between the months of June and March, provides some first class game viewing during that time period. Owned and run by Gerard Beaton and Jackson of Big Cat Diary fame, the Camp is renowned for its rustic charm, first class service and unbeatable guiding. Professional Masai guides accompany you on your safari around this fantastic area of the Mara, which is great for both viewing of the annual wildebeest migration, as well as spotting the big cats.

You will have two full days to enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the National Park as well as relaxing evenings back at camp watching the animals along the river in front of the camp. The Serengeti-Mara ecosystem supports the most diverse migration of grazing mammals in the world and the Masai Mara is crucial in sustaining this mass migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelles and is a highlight of your wildlife holiday in Kenya. Their arrival spells a bonanza for the Mara’s big cats and it is no wonder that BBC film crews have based themselves here for several years filming their Big Cat Diaries.
Overnight: Rekero Camp (B, L, D)
Today you will be met at Rekero Camp and transferred to Kicheche Mara Camp in the Mara North Conservancy. These classic safari-style tents are set within a prime wildlife viewing area within the Masai Mara Reserve. This is a fantastic location and great for children.
Overnight: Kicheche Mara Camp (B, L, D)
You will have two days to explore the Mara North Conservancy on private game drives with your own private guide. Because you are staying in one of the Conservancies, night drives and walking safaris are available (age restrictions apply). Night drives are a great way to explore the bush as this is when the predators come to life and head out to hunt. The bush is completely different at night and to see and hear the change is fascinating.
Overnight: Kicheche Mara Camp (B, L, D)
After an early lunch you will be transferred by road to Ngerende Airstrip for your flight to Diani (departing Ngerende at 1400hrs and arriving in Diani at 1600hrs). Upon arrival you will be met and transferred by to Kinondu Kwetu. On arrival at Kinondu Kwetu, you will be able to relax after the last week’s safari.
Overnight: Kinondo Kwetu (B, L, D)
You will all have four days to relax at this beautiful location. Take the time to relax on the beach, laze by one of the two pools or treat yourself to a relaxing session in the yoga house. Alternatively, if you’re feeling a little more energetic, you may feel like sailing, kayaking, water-skiing, wakeboarding or canoeing (all available at a small fee). If you feel like wildlife spotting, guests are free to take advantage of the stables and go horse riding down the beach or in the sacred 'Kaya' forests. Alternatively, if you enjoy diving one of the swimming pools is deep enough for PADI scuba diving lessons.
Overnight: Kinondo Kwetu (B, L, D)
Check out time is 1000hrs. You will be met and transferred to the Diani Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi (departing Diani at 1600hrs and arriving in Nairobi at 1720hrs). On arrival into Nairobi you will be taken to a local restaurant for dinner (payable direct to the restaurant). Following dinner you will be met and transferred to the International Airport for your flight home.
