This 7-day Botswana safari takes you through some of the country’s most remote areas in search of traditional game as well as the more seldom-seen wildlife like bushpigs, chacma baboons and painted dogs (also known as painted wolves and African wild dogs). Starting off in the Linyanti Concession where elephants are plentiful, you’ll have the opportunity to follow expert guides with a knack for finding the more elusive flora and fauna. You will then move on to the heart of the Okavango Delta, where the game-viewing is phenomenal and lions, leopards and buffalo roam the land.
On arrival into Kasane Airport you will need to clear immigration before being met and assisted to your light aircraft flight to the Kwando Airstrip. On landing you will be met by your guide and game driven to Kwando Lagoon Camp. Once you arrive at the camp you will be briefed on your safari experience before being shown to your tent. Later you will embark on your first safari activity to explore this wonderful wildlife rich area.

You will be able to enjoy twice-daily safari experiences during your stay at Kwando Lagoon. Choose from 4x4 game drives with a guide and tracker, night drives, walking safaris, fishing (not during January and February due to government regulations) and boat cruises. Should you wish for complete flexibility and a more private experience we recommend asking your Destination Specialist about the possibility of booking a private guide and vehicle. The Kwando Concession where Lagoon Camp is situated is famed for its game viewing and is prime territory for wild dog with the Lagoon wild dog pack denning in the vicinity of the camp. Besides wild dog, this area is fabulous for seasonal herds of elephant and a wide range of predators.
Overnight: Kwando Lagoon Camp (B, L, D)
Today, at a time to be advised locally, you will be game driven to the airstrip in time for your light aircraft flight to the Kwara Airstrip in the Okavango Delta. On landing in the Delta you will be met by your guide and game-driven to Kwando Splash Camp. On arrival you will be met and introduced to the lodge before being shown to your room. Later this afternoon you will embark on your first safari activity exploring the world-renowned Okavango Delta.
Overnight: Kwando Splash Camp (B, L, D)
You will be able to enjoy twice-daily safari experiences during your stay in the Kwara Concession. Choose from 4x4 game drives with a guide and tracker, night drives, boat safaris, walking safaris and fishing (not during January and February due to government regulations). Should you wish for complete flexibility and a more private experience we recommend asking your Destination Specialist about the possibility of booking a private guide and vehicle. The 175,000 Kwara Concession shares a 30km water boundary with the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, guaranteeing both seasonal and permanent water which attract a plethora of game including a variety of plains game and the predators that hunt them.
Overnight: Kwando Splash Camp (B, L, D)
Today, at a time to be advised locally, you will be driven to the Kwara Airstrip in time for your light aircraft flight to Maun. On arrival into Maun you will be met and assisted to your onward international flight, marking the end of your time on safari in Botswana.
