Day 6

Selinda - Khwai Community Reserve

Enjoy a final game drive as you set off by helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta to the Khwai Community Reserve for some Out of Africa style camping. You are now in the heart of the wilderness in a private campsite set up just for your family. This is quite possibly one of the most incredible experiences in Africa. Whilst it is camping, it is far from basic and the most luxurious camping in Botswana! The highly experienced staff are attentive to your every need, the tents en-suite, the food is exquisite and the evenings spent under the stars with just the sounds of the bush are magical.

Days 7-8

Khwai Community Reserve

Wake up to the sounds of the bush as you start your traditional safari day with your private guide. It is entirely up to you how you want to spend your days but maximising your time in the bush is recommended, along with lazy afternoon siestas. In addition, your itinerary may include boating, mokoro excursions and guided walks depending on which areas you select to visit and your preferences. Each evening, enjoy sundowners in the bush and some star gazing back around the camp fire.

Day 9

Khwai - Makgadikgadi Pans

Spend one final morning at the camp before bidding farewell to your guide as you set off by flight to the Makgadikgadi Pans to the ultra-luxurious, award winning Jack’s Camp, run by the adventurer and pioneer Jack Bousfield. You are now in the oldest deserts in the world and the rugged wilderness surrounding you is awe-inspiring. Head out and watch one of the best sunsets you ever will over this beautiful landscape and learn about the formation of the world’s largest super lake.

Day 10

Makgadikgadi Pans

Today is a very special day as you and your family get to meet ‘Timon’ and his friends, the habituated meerkats. You’ll have a chance to watch their captivating behaviour – a lovely occasion to get some family photos for the album! Enjoy a bush picnic whilst your guide explains life out in the bush. Head to Africa’s third largest tree; Chapman’s Baobab, which was found by explorers in the bygone era. Finish your active day with a quad bike adventure across the pans (dry season only), whilst the sun sets and the stars rise.

Overnight: Jack's Camp B, L, D

Day 11

Depart Botswana

Today is a sad day as you depart the wonders of the Botswana bush, say goodbye to the wildlife and start your journey back home. After your morning activity you will be driven back to the airstrip for your flight to Maun to connect with your onward flight. Whilst you may not return to the bush for a while, your memories of your time here will remain at the forefront of your mind and your children will have developed leaps and bounds through their recently found bush skills!
