Traditional, spacious tented accommodation. A down to earth camp for the adventurous traveller.
With spectacular views of the plains below, the camp is located in a pristine setting within the NamibRand Nature Reserve. Windhoek is the closest international airport; from there you would take a light aircraft to the Wolwedan Private Airstrip, then drive for 15 minutes, or drive for 6 hours.
Accommodation & FacilitiesEach of the 6 tents are pitched on wooden platforms and are simple yet stylish with the feeling of a bygone African era. Equipped with either a double or twin beds, they have private bathrooms accessed via a wooden walkway and a nice sun deck. Tents have canvas windows which can be rolled up to reveal stunning desert views and allow in the cool air on balmy evenings. During the summer months we recommend you sleep out under the stars on the sun deck.
The main area has a lounge speckled with antique furnishings, an open plan kitchen and a bar. Guests are invited to speak with the chef as he prepares dinner.
Dining is a communal affair, cuisine is of very high quality and there is great attention to detail. Cuisine is prepared in front of you and the camp is willing to cater to any special dietary requirements.
Explore your surroundings with morning and afternoon nature drives or a full day safari. The main thing here is just seeing the incredible landscapes of the oldest desert in the world.
