Namibia is not the first safari destination on everyone’s list, but it is definitely worth investing time in. With huge vast desert-scapes, wildlife, wild oceans and a stunning cultural backdrop, Namibia offers a little something for everyone.
Tailor-made private trips, expert led small group safaris, or self-drive safaris to Namibia all offer you something truly unique and different. Each of these niches all come at equally varying price points. Self-drives offer you the utmost freedom and are easier than you might expect, a mixture of camping in the wild (so cool!), mixed in with staying at a lodge or two, offers you a perfect blend of independence and comfort. Flying safaris are a stunning way to explore this vast country and offer you a truly unique viewpoint over the huge vistas from the Skeleton Coast through to the desert dunes; a private or scheduled safari with the Schoeman’s is the ultimate in adventure. Or let us create for you your own private tailor-made safari into Namibia, taking in the wildlife, the ocean and remote desert camps.
For the when to go to Namibia, April through to December are ideal months with a variety of highlights throughout this period. Early season is slightly greener and you may benefit from shoulder season prices, whereas later season is maybe slightly more popular with slightly easier game viewing, but be prepared for warmer temperatures.
For what to see and do, Namibia is not as wildlife focused as other African safari destinations, but it still delivers. Etosha is the place to go for wildlife, Swakopmund is the home of adrenalin sports and adventure, and the desert affords you peace and tranquility under some of the most starry skies you will ever encounter.
