Onguma Camp Kala

ultra-exclusive lodge

In November 2022, Onguma launched Camp Kala, a new ultra-exclusive lodge experience designed by Nick Plewman architects and the interior design was executed by Fox Browne Creative.

Bordering the eastern side of the Etosha National Park, Onguma Tented Camp lies inside the Onguma Private Game Reserve.

There are only four sophisticated and elegant luxury tents each with ensuite facilities including an outdoor shower, from which you can see the local water hole and animals quenching their thirst.

In the summer months the birding is fantastic when thousands of bird species migrate; an impressive sight – even for less enthused birders!

Dream Cruiser

Onguma Camp Kala makes a conscious eco effort.

The conservation levy charged to guests is used exclusively to guard and protect the reserve’s black rhino population. Their farming initiative employs more than 180 people from the surrounding community, which supplies vegetables to the reserve’s lodges. They don't use single use plastics and the camp itself was built using glass waste from other lodges.
