camp details
Style
A luxurious camp with an intimate atmosphere and a huge focus on wildlife.
Setting
Located in the heart of a private concession area, next to the Palmwag area and the Skeleton Coast National Park. Only accessible via private light aircraft.
Accommodation & Facilities
With just 7 twin tents and one family suite tent there is absolute exclusivity about this camp. Each of the tents are en-suite and have their own outdoor shaded deck. Due to the camp’s extremely remote location the panoramas from the camp are simply breath-taking and don’t be surprised if you have an uninvited guest join you for your breakfast!
From the camp there is the opportunity to take a flight over the Skeleton Coast; this will give you an entirely different perspective of the stunning Namibian landscape. More often than not there is a researcher staying in the camp with you; this is a perfect opportunity to find out about the most recent research taking place- make sure to ask about the lions!
Dining
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the camp and you may also have the chance to enjoy a picnic against the backdrop of the private reserve.
Activities
Every day your private guide will take you on a number of game drives; these can take place during the day or at night. This exclusive area is fantastic for seeing desert adapted elephants, giraffe, oryx and springbok. The guides have incredible knowledge about the area and can lead you towards incredible sightings by the call of a bird. Another amazing sight is the Cape fur seal colony which is just down the coast.
Child Policy
Children are welcome at Hoanib Skeleton Camp.
