About Letaka Tented Camp

This beautiful tented camp is set up only in the most exclusive campsites within private concessions. Each area is chosen for its natural beauty and the accessibility to diverse wildlife habitats for great sightings.

The camp itself is wonderfully comfortable, each tent has an en-suite bathroom and despite being in the heart of some of Botswana’s wilderness, you can enjoy some of the most fantastic cuisine.

Lodge Details

Semi-luxurious mobile camping, a classic safari experience available as tailor-made or on our set departures

Letaka Tented Camp uses only Hospitality & Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB) sites within exclusive wilderness sites. There are no fixed buildings at these sites, and at each stop the entire camp is erected by the team prior to your arrival.

Accommodation & Facilities

At the front of each tent there is a 9 foot covered area so you can relax outside in the shade. Tents are tall and spacious with high camp beds and private bathroom facilities, including a long drop toilet and bucket shower (hot or cold water can be ordered – hot water is heated on the fire). Tents have lighting, as does the rest of the camp which will be strategically lit for the best light, but they recommend using a good headlamp if you wish to read or write in the evenings. There is also a family tent available for those on private trips, with a two bedroom unit with adjoining bathroom.

On camp you will also find a dining tent, although due to the wonderful weather, most meals are taken outside, especially dinner which is served under the starry sky.

A limited laundry services is available on request, but they will not wash under-garments, water and washing powder is available for you to wash these yourself.

Despite the remote locations you will be visiting, the cuisine is beautiful, all prepared on site by the camp chef. Dinner is a 3 course meal.

Activities will depend on your location, however they include game drives, walking safaris, boating and night safaris. Walking and night safaris can only be done outside of the National Parks. The guides at the camp are well known for being excellent birders, so you can expect a bit of that too!

Child Policy

Children are welcome on private, tailor-made safaris, not on set departures.
