Katmai National Park
Brooks Falls Lodge puts you as close to the wildlife as possible located in the heart of Katmai National Park. Originally opened as a fishing camp, the premises have been in action since 1950 and have since then been continuously upgraded. This area of the world is famous for its fishing and, of course, grizzly bears – up to 50 of which live along the Brooks River during salmon spawning season. There are little viewing decks set up down the river, it is also possible to watch the bears from a boat if you so wish. The scenery here is stunning, with beautiful countryside scenery, spectacular volcanic features and beautiful fjords, glaciers and waterfalls.

Accommodation & Facilities
The main lodge has fantastic views over Lake Naknek and a circular fireplace, popular with guests sharing the stories of the day. There is also a lodge bar where cocktails can be purchased from the afternoon through to the evening.There are 16 modern cabins, each with a rustic feel, sleeping 2 – 4 guests in bunk beds. The cabins all have private facilities.
Activities
The renowned bear viewing is available only a short walk (approximately 1 mile) from the lodge at Brooks Falls on Brooks River. The Bear viewing here is fantastic and the sport fishing here is world famous. You can also join a daily tour to the “Valley of 10,000 Smokes”, the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in history!
Dining
There are 3 meals per day, serving Alaskan food, buffet style.
