Colpa Lodge, Colpampa Valley

Colpa Lodge, Colpampa Valley

Perched on a 1,000 foot bluff above the river, the Colpa Lodge is surrounded by forest, overlooking the Colpampa Valley, where you can hear the union of the three rivers.

As with all the lodges we use on the Salcantay Trail, rooms are kept at a comfortable temperature (23 degrees centigrade).

Colpa Lodge detail

Style

A small lodge, providing comfortable accommodation on the Salkantay Route

Setting

En-route to Machu Picchu on the Salkantay Trail, located on an open plateau at the confluence of three rivers.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are 6 private double rooms, each with a private bathroom complete with hot and cold water. The lodge is fully equipped and serviced.

There is also a cosy reading room, fireplace, central heating and a wonderful outdoor Jacuzzi with spectacular vistas.

Dining

On arrival you will be greeted with a traditional Pachamanca meal, a festive Peruvian meal cooked by laying meat and vegetables with hot stones, then coving it up to bake. You will also have dinner at the lodge.

Activities

This is one of the lodges used on the Salkantay Route to Machu Picchu. This is a lodge based trek to one of the world’s most intriguing wonders, not just for those that don’t want to sleep in tents after a hard days trekking, but for those who want to really take it all in.

Child Policy

We do not recommend this lodge or the Salkantay Trail for children.
