Belmond Las Casitas detail

Style

A luxurious and exclusive range of accommodation providing ample space and sublime comforts for its guests.

Setting

In the stunning Colca Valley, close to the colonial village of Yanque, 100 miles north of Arequipa.

Accommodation & Facilities

Each of the casitas is private and spacious, with a lounge area and a large bathroom. Under floor heating comes as standard as does a private terrace and a heated pool! Accommodation is either an individual casita, combined casitas which are joined by a lobby for larger groups or valley view casitas – which, as suggested, have breath taking views across the Colca Valley. Bathrooms all have both indoor and outdoor showers, as well as glass ceilings over the bath tubs so you can lay back and stare up at the clear night sky. For those wanting to go all out in pursuit of luxury, there is the Presidential Casita, larger than the others with a separate dining area, complete with a beautiful dining table.

In the main building you will find the intimate restaurant, open all day for the convenience of its guests, serving a la carte Peruvian cuisine and a bar. Belmond Las Casitas also has a vegetable garden and a farm housing a number of animals including horses and cute alpacas. There are fields around the farm growing fresh produce, such as potatoes, which are used to sere the local community.

Dining

The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast in the morning and Andean a la carte dining throughout the day. Cuisine is varied and uses lots of the fresh produce and herbs from the farm. Andean cookery classes are on offer for guests.

Activities

There are a range of organised activities available from the hotel. There are lots of different and varied routes for trekking and hiking as well as horse riding and biking. Routes can be long, short easy or hard and all have magnificent views over the spectacular valley. Closer to the hotel you can visit the farm and help to bottle feed the young alpacas, star gaze in the evenings up to the unpolluted night sky, catch what you can from the trout pond with a rather rustic fishing rod or check out the vegetable gardens.

Child Policy

Children are welcome.
