Set on Costa Rica’s southwest Pacific side of the Osa Peninsula, an area well known for being one of the world’s most biodiverse and pristine rainforests.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are 5 different rooms to choose from; classic cabins, deluxe cabin, deluxe suites, standard rooms and casa osa, which is great for families or groups, with space for up to 8 guests. Each accommodation is spacious with a luxury rustic style; polished wood floors, large beds and windows to welcome in the jungle.
The restaurant is constructed from bamboo, right in the heart of the lodge itself. The 450 square foot swimming pool is surrounded by wooden decking, overlooking the surrounding forest. Next to the pool is the bar, Los Encantitos, where you can get fresh smoothies, local beers and cocktails.
Meals are a delicious mix of international cuisine with a tropical twist. Served in the restaurant, El Remanso will usually prepare private tables for guests, but you can join up with other groups if you like.
The list of activities here is endless, with options for all guests, whether you want something more relaxing, honeymoon specialties or something to get the adrenaline pumping. If you fancy something active, try waterfall rappelling, horseback riding, surfing, tree climbing or kayaking. Relax with a yoga class, enjoy a canopy breakfast, go bird watching or head out dolphin spotting on a private boat.
El Remanso is an eco-lodge and works hard to protect its surrounding environment and people. From the off, they built the lodge using materials to minimise environmental impact and now rely 100% on renewable energy. No herbicides, pesticides or dangerous chemicals are used at all and waste is avoided as much as possible.
