Surrounded by the best museums, galleries and shops, in the most Bohemian district of Santiago, Casa Bueras was originally built in 1927. Superbly renovated, the hotel has an elegant Art Deco façade, behind which you will find many of the original features of the mansion along with contemporary ones to create just the right mix.

Each of the 14 rooms are all unique in size and shape, with dark wooden floors and antique furnishings.

A renovated 1920’s mansion; understated elegance runs through the building and it is brimming with history through antiques and originals features.

Setting

Within Santiago’s Boho-chic Lastarria barrio, surrounded by museums, galleries and shops, yet not many other hotels, especially not of this standard. There is a transfer service from Santiago Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport, but you can easily get there yourself via public transport.

Accommodation & Facilities

The rooms come in four different varieties; Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite and Suite. Superior Rooms sleep up to two adults, with extra large windows and beautiful furnishings, then Deluxe Rooms have excellent views of the gardens, also great for two guests. There is one deluxe room with a Jacuzzi, perfect for a honeymoon couple. Junior Suites have private balconies and Suites have space for up to three guests.

All rooms and suites are stunning spaces, with elegant furnishings and plump pillows. Features include a phone, satellite TV, radio, iPod dock and Wi-Fi, as well as a safe, air conditioning, a minibar and soundproofing for a great night’s sleep. Rooms all have complimentary toiletries and bathrobes as well as a hairdryer.

The lounge is the main social space and often holds cocktails nights, tastings and art samples, there is also a gym, massage service and computer point.

Dining

The lounge is great for a light snack before you go off exploring Santiago, you will also find here some tea and coffee, as well as some of Chiles excellent wines.

Activities

You are in an excellent location to enjoy the surrounding museums ,galleries, restaurants and shopping, as well as theatres and cinemas. Head out and explore the outstanding city of Santiago from one of the best, most unique districts. Lastarria barrio holds a weekend flea market, you can visit the historic centre or visit La Chascona. Relax in Parque Forestal or climb Cerro Santa Lucia. You could also take a trip wine tasting, explore the garden city of Valparaiso, or, if you come in the winter, enjoy some great skiing.
