Accommodation & Facilities
Rooms all have ample space and modern designs, the large windows and natural décor really bring the light in for an airy and tranquil feel. Standard rooms are twin and look out over the hotels water fountain. River rooms are doubles, and come wither with or without a balcony overlooking the beautiful confluence of the rivers. Junior suites have an additional sitting area and Panoramic suites are on the 4th floor, with the best view in the hotel of the confluence with a larger sitting area and dining table as well a futon by the bed. All rooms have a TV and air conditioning.
The swimming pool and Roman bath outside are incredible and great places to relax; there is also a massage room, business centre and fitness centre with a view as you exercise! The large casino is located on the lobby level and has over 100 modern slot machines, the cosy TV lounge is ideal for relaxing and there is an entertainment room with board games and ping pong. The entertainment room is great for keeping the children busy, as is the outdoor playground.
There is also a gourmet restaurant, outdoor café and a Lobby Bar, where guests are served cocktails, smoothies, fresh fruit juices and snacks.
All areas of the hotel have a modern decor, using neutral colours and the occasional splash of brightness. Clean lines and subtle lighting bring a real luxurious feel to the place and a twist of romance with the odd candle here and there.
Dining
The Dona Flor is a fantastic space, its dark interior contrasting the reams of light coming in through angular windows. This menu is influenced by the tropical flavours of the region and provides a tranquil and romantic atmosphere in which to enjoy your meals. If you wish to eat al fresco, then there is the café outside by the pool.
Activities
From here there is very easy access to the Three Borders Landmark (Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay), the Jesuit ruins and, of course, the amazing Iguassu Falls themselves. Throughout the confluence there are over 275 waterfalls and the amazing landscape where jungle meets the tropics is a fabulous area to explore. There is also the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), the Macuco Trail and Zodiac Boat rides down the river. The bird watching here is fantastic and for those who want to venture a little further out there are the Precious Stones Mines, the Itaipu Dam and the Mocona Waterfalls.
Child Policy
Children are welcome and there is a playground on the hotel site.
