about Finca Adalgisa, Chacras de Coria

The rustic Finca Adalgisa doubles as a winery and has a certain charm that encourages all its previous visitors to fall in love with it. Located in easy distance from Mendoza’s best vineyards, just 15 kilometres from Mendoza itself, it is a fantastic place to stay on the wine route, for those looking for wine and culture.

Charming and homely, the ambience is friendly and welcoming and the leisurely feel expands to the activities as you explore your surrounds at your own pace. On your first night you are instantly encouraged to treat the place as you would your own, whether that’s relaxing on the sofa with a good book, walking with the family dogs or feasting on the cheese and wine platter you are welcomed with.

Style

As rustic and charming as it is comfortable, this is an intimate and peaceful boutique hotel located within tranquil gardens.

Setting

Outside the wonderful town of Chacras de Coria, the hotel is located within their very own, family owned 2 hectare vineyard.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are just 11 rooms and suites split between two areas, one old and one new. The Old House, as the name suggests, is the older part of the hotel and is the more rustic of the two. The Stone House was built more recently and houses rooms that are more slightly more modern and less worn. The house you choose will depend on your tastes. Despite the rooms spreading across the two houses, the décor is kept simple and homely in both, with bright rugs adding splashes of colour.

There are three main room types available, the Standard Room, Suite (with added kitchen and living/dining area) and Deluxe Suite, the bath in which is slightly reminiscent in size to a pool. All rooms are air conditioned and en-suite with Wi-Fi and a mini bar.

There is a cosy lounge and wonderful gardens to explore, as well as a pool, complete with sun loungers. Wi-Fi is available throughout, and there is a guest PC for those who may wish to use it.

Dining

You are welcome to bring your own food and wine with you and the suites and deluxe suites have kitchenettes in which you can prepare if you like. Breakfast is available until midday (perfect after a night’s wine tasting), then there is wine tasting every evening at 6pm, complete with snacks. For lunches and dinners, there are lots of great restaurants in the nearby town of Chacras de Coria. The hotel also has its own bodega where they make Malbec available only to guests.

Activities

Of course, you can embark on a winery tour in your time here and you can have a driver for the day so you don’t need to worry if you ‘accidentally’ swallow too much wine. Apart from that there are lots of outdoor activities available, from cycling, hiking and horse riding, to white water rafting, watching a tango performance at Almacen de Tango or visiting the Sunday market at Chacras de Coria. The staff can arrange cookery classes if you so desire, or even art classes and language lessons. There are thermal baths that you can visit in Cacheuta as well.

Child Policy

Children are welcome and cribs/extra beds are available on request.
