Estancia Rincon del Socorro detail
Style
A character-full house with friendly and luxurious accommodation
Setting
Rincon del Socorro is located on the banks of the wetlands of Corrientes, the Ibera Marshes and expands over 12,000 hectares of northern Argentina. You can fly direct from Iguazu, which takes about 2 hours.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are 6 rooms in the main house as well as three bungalows, each featuring its own unique design. All accommodation is en-suite and tastefully decorated using natural colours and materials. The main house is quite traditional, featuring an 1896 Spanish style, a long white building with a red zinc roof. The 6 rooms all come off a long veranda and overlook the pool to the back. The bungalows are built using adobe walls and have thatched roofs; these were actually a part of the main farm building and are about 50 metres from the main house.
There is a nice outdoor pool (unheated so best in the summer) and some beautiful gardens, as well as a library, dining room, games room (for children) and a quincho (Argentinean BBQ).
Dining
Fruit and vegetables are harvested from their organic garden just before preparing food and all pastas and breads are homemade. Cuisine is very tasty and healthy.
Activities
There are four different habitats here making this an excellent spot for bird watching, including a few endangered species that have taken refuge here. You can also embark on boat trips, horse riding, night safaris and trips to the fascinating Ibera Lagoon to spot the caimans, monkeys and capybaras. You will also have the chance to watch gauchos at work, try fly-fishing or go for a bike ride.
Child Policy
Children are welcome and they will love exploring the grounds.
