A beautiful and spacious luxury country lodge in the style of ancient Patagonian ‘estancias’, with antique furnishings and corrugated metal siding, but with the comforts and amenities of the modern day.


In a unique and strategic position in La Anita Valley, just 30 minutes away from La Calafate, with views to Lago Argentino to the north, Torres del Paine to the south and La Anita Valley to the east.

Accommodation & Facilities

From every corner of this magical place there is an amazing view, each space has been created with large panoramic windows to bring the outside, in. This brings a calm and natural feel across the lodge and a sense of serenity to the guests as they take in their breathtaking and secluded surrounds. There are 12 Superior Suites, 3 Premium Suites and 2 Corner Suites, all beautifully appointed and comfortable with ample space which looks out over the Lago Argentino, La Anita Valley, the Torres del Paine or the Rico Branch. Guest suites all have en-suite bathrooms, telephones, bath robes and adjustable central heating, it bodes well to note that the lodges entire water supply comes from a natural spring 800 metres above sea level.

The main living area, swathed in natural light, looks out over La Anita Valley, there is also a bar, restaurant, library and TV room, all with views of either Lago Argentino or Torres del Paine.

Other facilities at the lodge include an indoor swimming pool, sauna and Wi-Fi throughout.


Meals are provided in the dining room, with the traditional cordero (slow cooked lamb) being a firm favourite.


At the lodge discussions on glaciology and the regional flora and fauna take place for those interested, as well as tales of local and indigenous legends. Guests may go horse riding on Mount Frias and there are different levels of difficulty, so even beginners will enjoy themselves. Guests can also join treks over Mount Fria and in La Anita Valley, as well as sight seeing, bird watching and astronomy.

Other excursions include mini-trekking on and navigating around the Perito Moreno Glacier and also navigating to the Upsala glacier, Estancia Cristina and Upsala Connection. Guests may also go fly fishing at Lago Roca, join a 4 wheel drive trip to Mount Frias or enjoy a day trip to El Chalten.
