Antarctica Fly-Cruise Safari

A wonderful way in which to explore Antarctica without having to transit the notorious Drake Passage. You will fly to King George Island before boarding your expedition ship and exploring the Great White Continent.

This expedition is great for those with a limited amount of time, combining a short flight between Punta Arenas and the Chilean Frei Station on King George Island, with a ship cruise along the Antarctic Peninsula. The coldest, driest, windiest and most remote continent on earth, here you will explore vast icy seas and meet the unique wildlife from zodiacs and on foot on this 8-day itinerary. As with many of our safaris in the Polar Regions, flexibility is the key and your exact itinerary will depend on nature and weather conditions.

What makes this trip extraordinary?

  • No Drake Passage crossing, avoiding the roughest seas and saving time travelling to Antarctica.
  • Visit vast penguin colonies.
  • The opportunity to stand on the continent of Antarctica (conditions permitting).
  • Explore ice-filled fjords and cruise among spectacular icebergs.
