Responsible Tourism

Environmental standards are very important to the Sukau Rainforest Lodge which has its own code of practice. The lodge donates to Borneo Ecotourism Solutions & Technologies (BEST) which benefits the local community through conservation projects and is also involved in a tree planting programme in which guests are welcome to participate. The tour boats are equipped with silent electric motors which are used when getting close to the riverbank so as not to disturb the wildlife.
