Style

A large, luxurious hotel steeped in history decorated in a Zimbabwean colonial style. The hotel has not only seen monarchs pass through its doors, but Hollywood stars and presidents.

Setting

Within lush tropical gardens, the hotel is just a 10 minute walk away from the “Smoke that Thunders” (Victoria Falls) down its own, exclusive pathway. 5km away (walk or drive) you will find the National Park, teeming with wildlife where guests can track the ‘Big 5’.

Accommodation & Facilities

All rooms and suites are elegantly and graciously decorated. There are 37 standard rooms, 58 traditional rooms, 48 deluxe rooms, 7 junior suites, 4 honeymoon suites, 6 executive suites and a Royal Suite. Zimbabwe’s history is told through the corridors and the walls as you follow them down to the main social areas. Guest can read up on the area in the library, enjoy the peace and quiet of the reading room, cool off in the swimming pool or even visit the chapel.

There is a stunning terrace looking right over Victoria Falls Bridge, known for its amazing cocktails and afternoon teas, a great meeting spot for friends.

Dining

The Livingstone Room is great for fine dining and dancing, for those who wish for something a little more ethnic, head to Jungle Junction, where breakfast and dinner buffets are served alongside traditional entertainment.

Activities

Within the hotel there is the swimming pool and the tennis courts. The main attraction is of course the Falls themselves, wake up to the sounds of them thundering and capture the lunar rainbow at night, but there are plenty of other activities here for guests. Game viewing is just 5km away, whether by vehicle or foot, where there are well qualified and experienced rangers ready to help you explore the National Park in search of wildlife. River cruises can be organised down the mighty Zambezi River, watch the crocodiles and hippo at the waters edge, upstream from the Falls.

Child Policy

Children are welcome, babysitting must be organised in advance.
