About Nile Safari Lodge

Nile Safari Lodge is spectacularly sat, secluded, on the southern banks of the Nile amongst a wonderfully fertile landscape. The luxury camp has been kept simple and has a relaxed atmosphere, reflected in the calm waters of this part of the Nile. Here, guests can experience the bush naturally, as it is, with nothing changing the temperature or obstructing your views – the real Wild Africa.

Relax on your private balcony with a cold drink, watching the crocodiles basking on the sand, the hippos frolicking in the river or the elephant coming down for a drink.

Lodge Details

Traditional, simple and luxurious safari accommodation

The lodge is surprisingly secluded and being just 20km downstream from Murchison Falls, means it is an ideal base for exploring the National Park and visits to Murchison Falls itself.

Accommodation & Facilities

There is a choice of wooden chalet or luxury tent, both are comfortable and airy and have been thoughtfully placed to maximise your views. All of the guest accommodation is en-suite with a private balcony hovering over the River Nile, the perfect spot to enjoy a hot drink in the morning, or a sundowner after a day exploring.

The central area is thatched and cleverly integrated into the trees and rocks. There is a restaurant, bar and comfortable lounge area all with fantastic vantage points over the surrounding area. The central campfire is the perfect place for star gazing, dancing and sharing your adventures.

All meals are delicious and enhanced by the relaxed atmosphere, hearty English and continental breakfasts are served as well as some great Ugandan cuisine. Eat wherever takes your fancy, by the pool, in the restaurant, on your private deck or ask for a bush meal – always in specially chosen locations.

Boat trips to the bottom of Murchison Falls are an absolute must while you are here, as is a drive to the top. There are wildlife drives on the northern banks of the Nile where you can find giraffes, warthogs, elephants and buffalo, as well as a variety of antelope, leopards and lions.

Other activities include walking trails, sport fishing and village walks.
