A beautiful modern retreat located high in the Sandstone Mountains, overlooking Isalo National Park in south west Madagascar, Isalo Rock Lodge provides the utmost in luxury during your stay. With magnificent views, a wealth of amenities and spacious suites, it sits in a wildlife-lovers paradise, where you can spot ring-tailed lemurs and giant chameleons among others.

There are 60 sumptuous rooms at the lodge (each with spectacular panoramas) and a beautiful pool. cuisine is renowned for its excellence and the activities are second to none.

Setting

High in the Sandstone Mountains, overlooking Isalo National Park (often referred to as the Jurassic Park), the lodge is in south western Madagascar.

Accommodation & Facilities

Rooms are refined and tastefully decorated, spacious yet kept warm through the welcoming colours and carefully chosen furnishings. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, a mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities, as well as a safe, hair dryer, phone and complimentary toiletries. Beds can be configured as twin singles or King beds, all luxuriously swathed in mosquito netting - cots are available on request. Suites also have an exquisite lounge. Wherever you stay within the lodge, you are guaranteed a gorgeous view, straight from your bedroom window.

The outdoor pool is beautiful and, of course, has fabulous views. There is also a restaurant, bar and pool bar.

Dining

Cuisine is a mixture of local Malagasy and European, providing simple menus with wholesome ingredients to keep you going throughout the day.

Activities

This is a real wildlife and nature lovers paradise and exploring Isalo National Park will bring you close to some beautiful flora and fauna. It is possible to see ring-tailed lemurs or Sifakas dancing and jumping, and giant chameleons and snakes. There are pools and waterfalls peppered throughout the park and hidden valleys to explore. You can explore by hiking, or in a 4x4 and there is also the opportunity to travel via horseback. Then there is nothing better after a day out in the wild, than watching the orange hues of the sunset as it highlights the unique forms of the landscape.
