Long Kenya Safari
Take the time to really explore Kenya in the Ultimate Kenya safari, beginning in Nairobi before heading to Amboseli. Set in the shadow of the majestically looming Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park in Southern Kenya combines stunning scenery with prolific game wildlife roaming its plains, and its renouned elephant population. After this head up to the lakes - Naivasha, Nakuru & Elmenteita, with a wide variety of fish and birds to spot as well as larger animals such as hippo. Located just south of the lake is the Hell’s Gate National Park, which is named after the two red-hued cliffs that welcome the visitor into its enticing geothermal interior. This area is great to explore by foot across its savannah ecosystem and there are various hiking trails. Then head to the Laikipia Plateau which is an undiscovered ecosystem of wilderness terrain that covers over two million acres and is home to indigenous Samburu, Kikuyu and Boran tribes. It is estimated that 10% of Kenya’s black rhino community are found here in Lewa, so it is also a good place for Big Five game sighting, whilst avoiding the crowds. There is also a wealth of activities on offer offering such as riding (camels and horses), ballooning, quad biking, tubing, hiking, fly camping, mountain biking, cultural visits and many more! Finally head to the Masai Mara National Reserve is official national parkland and covers 1,800 square kilometres, its grassland plains offer great opportunities to witness the phenomenal annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle between July and October, as well as prides of lion, hippos, elephants, hyena and countless other wildlife, including Big Five game.
