About Maia Luxury Resort & Spa, Seychelles

Located on Mahe in the Seychelles, Maia provides the ultimate sanctuary for those looking for complete tranquillity and seclusion. Nestled into the verdant hillside and overlooking the beach of Anse Louis, it has a wonderful combination of design influences, from Bali to the Aztecs and provides an unreal level of service to its guests.

This is an all-villa resort with accommodations identical in size and style, yet drastically altered by their location, from those right on the beach, to the Signature Villas right at the dizzying cliff peak.

Lodge Details

A luxurious retreat and spa with accommodation in identical villas climbing up a steep cliff face. Each villa has its very own butler for very highly personalised service.

Overlooking Anse Louis beach in southwest Mahe in the Seychelles, the resort sprawls up a steep cliff face, nestling into the jungle-like surrounds. Flying into Mahe International Airport is the long bit, with just a short 25 minute drive to Maia Luxury Resort & Spa from there.

Accommodation & Facilities

The 30 villas are 250sqm with contemporary, clean interiors warmed with flashes of timber and fully appreciating their surroundings with huge picture windows that span the height of the walls. They each have a master suite and incredible outdoor bathroom with a sunken bath, separate toilet and a rainfall shower. They all also have a terrace with a thatched dining area, bar and a day bed, as well as a good sized infinity plunge pool just for you.  All villas have air-conditioning, TV, DVD player, fridge, minibar and a ceiling fan as standard.

A stay here is all about relaxation and each villa has a private butler service so you can completely relax, and they seem to appear and disappear in a flash on request. Facilities include a beautiful swimming pool, fitness centre, incredible not-to-be-missed Maia Spa and wonderful restaurant. For ease of travelling around the resort, especially for those staying higher up, there are buggies driven by butlers.

The main poolside restaurant is named Tec-Tec and serves some of the best cuisine in Mahe in all its open-sided glory. You can also dine in your villa if you prefer.

These include water-sports such as kayaking, canoeing, snorkelling, scuba diving and deep sea fishing, as well as some of the more extreme ones from jet skiing to windsurfing. There is also the fitness centre and the spa including a meditation pavilion that does yoga and Pilates. For children there is a VIK (Very Important Kids) programme with loads of specialist activities for them.

Child Policy

Children are welcome. There are specialist activities and all butlers are trained in childcare.
