Being home to 2,000 free roaming Giant Aldabra Tortoises is just one of the things that makes this island unique and a stay here super special. They saved the Seychelles Magpie Robin from extinction, safeguard the nests of Hawksbill turtles and play sanctuary to thousands of tropical birds.

There are 16 residences for guests, ensuring the amount of people at any one time is low, keeping it serene with an exclusive feel. Accommodations are beautifully crafted into the coast line, offering you complete privacy from neighbouring guests. Residences are available in 3 different varieties; 400-430 square metres (for up to 2 adults and 2 children), 570-700 square metres (for up to 4 adults and 2 children) and 700 square metres (for 2 adults with a private spa facility). Each has a large, private pool, Jacuzzi, daybed and dining pavilion as well as a personal island buggy. All residences have a private outdoor bathroom, as well as a large and small bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV and a minibar. Lots of them have direct beach access as well.

The private Banyan Hill Estate, is located on a hilltop, with views to the harbour and beaches. Comprised of 5 buildings, it includes 3 villas (for up to 6 guests), a large main building with living area and dining room, fully serviced kitchen, TV lounge, study and private pool with pool dining area. The villas each have private bathrooms, verandas and all the mod cons / amenities of the Residences. The Banyan Hill Estate also comes with your very own personal chef, private butler and maid.

Fregate House is the main area, where you will find the communal areas, such as the library, boutique, wine tasting cellar and the Pirates Bar beach hut. There are two share pools between here and the beach, as well as the beach bar.

Here you can ‘dine where you want’. As well as the restaurants and bars, you could choose to dine in the tree house, the yacht club, the beach or just in your own Residence.

These are broken down into ‘On the Land’ and ‘On and In the Water’. On the land you can enjoy nature walks with the resident conservationists or even assist them in their field work. Hike mountain trails or explore in your buggy, bike around the island or make use of the air-conditioned gym and spa. Helicopter rides can be arranged, go star gazing at night, or try yoga as the resident instructor is ready to go at any time of the day!

The marine life around Fregate is wonderfully diverse and unspoiled, excellent for snorkelling and diving. You can go deep sea fishing, perhaps with one of the local fishermen. You can also enjoy sailing, surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing or power boating.

There are lots of activities specifically for children too between the ages of 3 and 12, including jungle trails and treasure hunts.
