Lodge Details

A beautifully designed, elegant resort built with the villas and suites on stilts over an azure lagoon, stretched out from a small island; the definition of barefoot luxury.

A 40 minute speed boat ride from the capital of the Maldives, Male, villas and suites reach into the turquoise waters from Cocoa Island, known locally as Makunufushi, among South Male’s coral atolls.

Accommodation & Facilities

There is a range of villas and suites to choose from, some doubles, others with more than one room suited to families or larger groups. The 8 split-level Dhoni Suites (75sqm) with a large living area, bathroom and private terrace and the Dhoni Loft Suites (110sqm), ideal for families, are both in the shape of local fishing boats, fixed to the bottom of the lagoon. Then there are Loft Villas (123sqm) with floor to ceiling windows and king bed, One Bedroom Villas (125sqm) each of which have their own jetty and 3 private outdoor areas, and the COMO Villas (300sqm) which have 2 wings connected by a dining area, each with a bedroom, en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower and private terrace. The COMO villas also come with an excellent butler service, helping plan your time and even taking care of children. All rooms, villas and suites have direct access to the ocean and an excellent ‘home reef’, as well as a minibar, TV & DVD player, Wi-Fi and a safe.

Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the resort, there is also use of snorkelling equipment, a guest lounge and use of non-motorised water-sports equipment free of charge. Facilities include the intoxicating spa and gym, a 25 metre infinity pool, water-sports centre, dive centre, boutique, restaurant and bar.

There is just the one restaurant here, but the menu changes daily to keep you coming back for more. Gourmet cuisine is inspired by India’s Malabar Coast and makes the most of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You can enjoy your meal in the Ufaa restaurant, on your terrace overlooking the water or lit by candles on the beach.

Other than snorkelling and swimming straight from your deck, there are many other activities scheduled so you can make the most of your time in the Maldives. Enjoy a champagne sunrise breakfast, catamaran snorkelling trips, cooking demonstrations and guided snorkelling, as well as sunset cruises and cocktails, fishing by dhoni or speedboat and fish feeding at the private jetty. There may be a chance to watch dolphins on a sunset cruise, or you can head to the spa, chill in the infinity pool with ocean views, or work out at the gym.

Please note that some excursions are at extra cost and must be booked in advance, speak to us for more details.

Child Policy

Children are welcome, but not always advised as the resort is over water and children will need to be able to swim, as well as be supervised at all times. There is a babysitting service available, as well as tweaked menu’s for children and a number of family excursions available.
