About Xudum Lodge, Okavango Delta

The Xudum Lodge offers incredible experiences set amongst beautiful scenery in the Okavango Delta private reserve. The lodge’s surroundings is comprised of majestic intertwining water canals and luscious green forestation filled with life. Each of the traditionally decorated suites also has an upper deck where you can choose to sleep beneath the stars listening to the wide range of fauna which call the reserve home.

Located in the Okavango Delta Reserve which is only accessible via light aircraft.

Accommodation & Facilities

Each of the nine suites is comprised of a lounge area, bedroom and en-suite bathroom complete with a roll top bath and a selection of toiletries. Each suite has their own private decks the lower with your own plunge pool and the upper is the perfect spot to relax with a sundowner overlooking your incredible surroundings. There are also day beds in each suite which can also be used for a night sleeping under the stars.

There are large communal areas within Xudum which are open sided giving you breath-taking panoramas across the Okavango Delta; and as there are no fences do not be surprised if you have uninvited guests during meal times! There is also an outdoor lounge area which is the perfect spot for relaxing after your day full of adventures. There is Wi-Fi available in the communal areas of the lodge although there is no computer available.


All your meals are included during your stay at Xudum Lodge; with a large range of dishes served all day there is definitely something for everyone. The open style kitchen is situated within the main dining room giving you and your fellow explorers an opportunity to ask the chefs any questions you have or any specific dietary requirements- any requests can be catered for with prior notice. All of your drinks are also included in the price.


The focus at this lodge is placed upon relaxation as much as on spotting the incredible wildlife within the reserve; therefore you may do as much or as little as you like. There are daily morning game drives which are led by the experienced and knowledgeable guides as well as afternoon boat rides where you can explore the waterways of the Delta. There is an abundance of birds including many small animals including painted reed frogs and reedbuck.

Child Policy

Children over 12 are welcome at Xudum Camp but it should be noted that anyone under the age of 16 cannot take part in guided walks.
