Style
As soon as you step through the doors here, you’ll get a sense of the relaxed and inclusive atmosphere that the hotel's staff strive to impart to every guest. With plenty of spacious and elegantly designed communal areas, it’s easy to feel like part of an exclusive Chobe club during your stay.
Setting
Pangolin Chobe Hotel has an enviable location on a hill above the town of Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. This spot allows its guests to be among the first visitors to the park each day, and the last out. In addition, the sun sets directly in front of the hotel, so from your hilltop vantage point you’ll be able to enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets in all of Botswana.
Accommodation & Facilities
All 14 bedrooms here come with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, plenty of storage space and charging points for camera gear, and a private balcony which offers breathtaking views across the Chobe floodplains. The walls of the dedicated photo editing area come adorned with wonderful wildlife images, and there is plenty of space both here and throughout the hotel for workshops, presentations, relaxation and socialising, as well as an upper-floor bar.
Dining
On the ground floor of Pangolin Chobe Hotel is a large dining area where all guests are invited to take their meals together. Leading on from the dining area is a pool deck, where on certain evenings the staff will treat you to a braai (a South African barbecue).
Activities
Adjacent to the hotel is Chobe National Park, arguably one of the best reserves in Africa for wildlife photography. You’ll be able to capture Chobe’s wildlife on land and from the water during twice-daily photo safari activities, making use of boats and vehicles that have been purpose-built for photographers. The hotel also has a number of other vehicles for those who wish to embark on general game drives through the park.
Child Policy
Children over the age of 11 are welcome at Pangolin Chobe Hotel.
