Khwai River Lodge offers luxury safari accommodation in the heart of the Okavango Delta. In an area renowned for its exceptional range of big game the lodge not only offers great wildlife encounters but also boasts a 20 metre swimming pool and a spa. 

Located in an area of outstanding game viewing, the floodplains of the Khwai River are renowned for prolific birdlife and a predominance of predators, elephant and buffalo.

Guests are well catered for at Khwai River Lodge, with a large swimming pool, gym and spa all on-site. There is capacity for up to 30 guests, and the luxurious, en-suite tents are appointed with four-poster beds and private decks with loungers and hammocks.

Blending in seamlessly with its environment,  Khwai River Lodge is nestled on the edge of a leadwood and fig tree forest, overlooking the vast Khwai River floodplains. The Moremi Wildlife Reserve lies just beyond.

Accommodation & Facilities

Shaded by a traditional African thatch roof, the 15 luxury tents are set on raised wooden platforms, affording stunning views over the floodplains. Each has its own private deck, furnished with comfortable chairs and a hammock - ideal for spotting game or enjoying an evening meal in complete privacy. Each air-conditioned tent has an en-suite bathroom, fully stocked mini-bar and four-poster bed, complete with mosquito netting. Safes are provided for your peace of mind and there is a same-day laundry service.

Khwai River Lodge is equipped with a hide overlooking the Khwai floodplains and a 20 meter swimming pool, as well as a gym and spa; guests can enjoy indulgent treatments in the facility or in the privacy of their own tent.

Both the open-air and covered dining areas afford spectacular views across the Okavango Delta, where you can watch the sun set across the African landscape. After-dinner drinks are served in the bar and lounge areas or around the campfire, where you can sit and reflect on the day's adventures. Other facilities include a small shop, reference library, internet access and tent-to-tent telephones.


Delicious food is served both inside and outdoors. 


Morning and afternoon game drives operate in open Land Cruisers, and spotlight game drives and star gazing presentations are conducted after dinner. A cultural visit to a local village can be arranged, as well as guided safari walks along the Khwai River.
