Luxurious safari lodges and tent suites with spectacular open views of the Kalahari Desert.
The lodge suites are positioned on the woodland’s edge with expansive views over the savannah and each lodge is situated far from any neighbours. Set in an untouched area of Africa, the lodge ensures complete privacy and wildlife intimacy.
Accommodation & Facilities
Within The Lodge, there are two different suites available.
The Pool Suites are expansive 1,000ft square wood, thatch and clay structures are expansive and open-air without exposing guests to the elements. Each suite is large and roomy and the king size bed in each room has a fan above to keep the air cool. The beautiful upper deck area contains a daybed and a hanging chair, allowing for wide views of the savannah whilst at your most relaxed. For the most adventurous, the daybed can be used as a sleeping area, with only a mosquito net between you and nature.
The bathroom, with beautiful views over the Kalahari landscape, contains a free-standing bath and shower with double sinks and a private toilet. Relax in the bath whilst looking out of the gaze windows before nestling down to a private dinner on the upper deck.
Two “Fat bikes” are parked outside each suite for use of riding to the main guest area or venturing out on a safari throughout the savannah, accompanied by a guide.
The Tented Suites are light and airy, raised more than a metre off the ground on stunning decks made from sustainable wood. Each suite contains twin beds, which can be made as an extra king size bed, that are surrounded by billowing mosquito nets.
The en-suite bathroom has a massage shower, toilet and double basins, whilst there is a beautiful ‘star bath’ out on the seligna deck for you to bathe beneath the stars.
Each side of the tented suites can be opened or closed completely and when opened, only a clear transparent netting stands between you and nature.
There is a large selection of different delicious dishes to choose from and all food is fresh. Guests can choose to enjoy their meals at their own time either in the privacy of their own suite, in the guest area, around the pool or even on a picnic out in the bush.
Early morning and late afternoon game drives are available over the vast Kalahari conservancy area. Safaris will be private as the lodge location is near no others, meaning you can drive for hours without seeing another person.
Walking safaris are an option and are led by the experienced guides to introduce adventurers to the small wonders of the Kalahari.
As The Lodge is located at the heart of Bushman territory, the first people of the Kalahari, Feline Fields offer the chance to spend time with the Bushman community. Experiences range from long bush walks under Bushman guidance where they teach about veld foods, nature medicines, culture and folklore to an overnight fly-camp. If choosing to spend the night, you will be invited into their inner circle to witness, or partake in, the famous Bushman Trance Dance.
Other activities such as visiting a mountain biking, bush gym, swimming, tennis, horse riding, spa treatments and golf practice are also available.
There is no minimum age – children are welcome at The Lodge. Children under 15 years can share a suite with their parents for an additional supplement, but children 15 years and over require their own accommodation.
