Setting
At the northern tip of Chobe National Park, home to one of the greatest concentrations of elephant in Africa, Chobe Chilwero Lodge overlooks the Chobe River and Caprivi flood plain - a great place to explore the diverse wildlife of Botswana. The lodge’s high elevation makes it the perfect spot for watching the stunning African sunset with a sundowner in hand, and viewing the elephants that are often seen swimming in the river nearby. Chobe Chilwero Lodge is within easy reach of the mighty Zambezi River and the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls.
Accommodation & Facilities
The lodge consists of 15 stone and thatched bungalows, individually designed to complement the natural environment. Bungalows are decorated with mosaic floors and traditional fabrics, and each has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with Victorian style bath, plus both indoor and outdoor showers. The private garden has a seating area, hammocks and an outside shower.
The main lounge and dining areas link to viewing platforms, commanding fabulous views over the Chobe River, which borders Chobe National Park to the north.
The lodge has a swimming pool, library and curio shop and there is a chic African spa with indoor spa bath, Vichy showers, hydrotherapy, plunge pool, relaxation area and private treatment rooms – one of which is elevated in the treetops.
Dining
Chobe Chilwero Lodge serves gourmet cuisine and the lodge's wine cellar houses an impressive variety of expertly selected, superior wines.
Activities
Game drives take place twice a day in open sided 4x4 vehicles, with professional guides.
River cruises and fishing expeditions are available, exploring the tributaries of the vast Chobe River - the sunset cruises are stunning and the perfect setting for sipping a sundowner.
Child Policy
There is no age restriction at Chobe Chilwero but children under the age of 5 are not allowed to participate in game drives, unless sole vehicle use is requested.
