The best time to visit Botswana is May to October, during the dry season when animals gather around water sources and the Okavango Delta floods. Visibility is excellent, roads are dry, and predator sightings peak. Shoulder months like May and November offer fewer crowds and still-great wildlife.
A minimum of 7–10 days is ideal for a quality Botswana safari. This allows time to explore two or three key regions, such as the Okavango Delta, Chobe, and the Kalahari, without rushing between camps.
The official language is English, yet most of the population also speak Setswana as well. Conversing with the locals is easily and happily done in English, your game drives and other activities will be conducted in the English too.
