This is an exciting role in a company that has drawn widespread acclaim for its expertise in wildlife travel. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Destination Specialist with experience in tailor-made and luxury travel. The successful candidate will be creating bespoke itineraries for their clients, ensuring they have a truly unforgettable experience while on safari.

This opportunity at NWS will encourage you to develop your areas of expertise in a client-focused sales environment, driving the product forward in an innovative way. Ideally, you will have been in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years and have a keen desire to keep learning and developing your knowledge. Familiarisation trips to the destinations you cover will provide you with hands-on experience of our fascinating product.

Natural World Safaris are pioneers in wildlife travel. We are not a tour operator but a travel outfitter, providing the very best in experiential journeys for clients who share our passion for wildlife and wilderness. This role provides you with an opportunity to work alongside pioneers in wildlife tourism. By joining our close-knit team you will help to further the company’s history of innovation in the industry, from blazing trails in far-flung destinations to forming key partnerships with frontline conservationists.

Salary: £20,000 - £30,000 per year plus company benefits

Job Title: Destination Specialist

Essential Requirements

  • Strong destination and accommodation knowledge across multiple destinations; of particular interest Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Polar regions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise workloads
  • At least 2 years of previous tailor-made sales experience, ideally working towards targets
  • An understanding of the luxury travel market, working with high-net-worth clients
  • A keen eye for proof reading and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to pick things up quickly and work at pace
  • Willing to travel abroad for familiarisation trips
  • A genuine passion for travel, wildlife and conservation. The majority of our team are well travelled and ideally we are looking for somebody who shares our enthusiasm for the natural world.
