Accommodation & Facilities
There are four types of accommodation available at the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel; there are standard and superior rooms- the panoramas of the Isfjorden or the Adventdalen from the superior room are simply spectacular. The suites and apartments are perfect for families or small groups as both can accommodate up to 5 adults.
There is free, high speed Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel for guests as well as a laundry service, there is even a sauna which is the perfect place to unwind after an incredible day of exploring.
Dining
Within the hotel itself there are two places to dine; the Restaurant Nansen and Barentz Pub & Spiseri. The menu at the restaurant is a blend of local dishes and international favourites- serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. At Barentz Pub & Spiseri there are snacks available such as tapas and pizza as well as a large selection of beers.
Activities
There are many activities on offer from the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel although they do differ between the summer and winter months. During winter the highlights of the area include dog sledding safaris, Northern Lights Safari and an ice caving tour. Throughout summer there is also the opportunity to go dog sledding however this takes place on wheels; you can also go fossil hunting, on glacier walks, kayak paddling and trekking.
