WHY CHARTER WITH US?
At Natural World Safaris, we pride ourselves in putting people in the right place at the right time for the best possible wildlife encounters. Our small expedition ships can reach fjords which larger ships simply can’t, allowing us ultimate flexibility to explore as the wildlife and weather dictate.
Expedition Leaders
Our expert Expedition Leaders all have years of experience in the polar regions and are as passionate as we are about protecting the fragile ecosystem at the top of the world. We participate in initiatives like Clean Up Svalbard which removed over 40,000kg of litter from the shores of the Svalbard Archipelago in the 2018 summer season alone By collating data from the sites where we pick up litter, we can also feed this data back to researchers on the distribution, composition and origins of the waste found in the Arctic which assists with efforts to beat plastic pollution.
Spectacular ships
Previously a research vessel by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, and small in size, Polarfront can easily weave its way through the fjords, uncovering well-kept secrets of the Far North not typically explored. Her design lends itself to navigating through the ice and there is plenty of space on board with amenities you would normally only find on a much bigger ship.
The M/V Kinfish is transformed from a Norwegian research vessel to a classic passenger ship, ready to explore the icy waters of the Spitsbergen archipelago. The bridge has been fitted out with advanced safety equipment, allowing the M/V Kinfish to safely navigate the calm Svalbard waters. With room on board for just 12 passengers, the ship has an intimate atmosphere, and her small size allows her to access some of the smaller fjords and coves along the coastline.
Superior service
On board our ships we offer superior service, options for all-inclusive drinks, and can tailor the on board programs to suit your preferences. We take care of all the details, from permits and fees through to champagne on deck under the midnight sun. We believe that expeditions to these remote destinations should be flexible, if you want to head out at 3am in search of bears, we can make that happen (it’s 24 hour daylight!), if you want to have a picnic on the deck while watching a glacier calve into the icy seas, we can do that too!
We are highly knowledgeable experts with years of experience operating ships in the Arctic and we can’t wait to show you around!
