Island Roamer details
A unique custom built boat.
Sailing on the central coast of British Columbia, in the Pacific Ocean, is where you will find the Island Roamer exploring the sheltered inlets of the Great Bear Rainforest.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are eight double cabins with upper and lower bunks, three bathrooms with hot showers (for guests and crew) and a spacious lounge and library to relax in on those lazy evenings. A large covered seating area on deck also provides the perfect place from where to admire your surroundings but keep out of the sometimes mild weather.
The boat is intimate enough for guests to be able to build a rapport with each other and the crew, but provides enough space for ample privacy. There are smaller inflatables carried onboard for excursions closer to the shore
The galley is always well equipped and the onboard chef prepares warm hearty meals which are always welcome after a day of exploration. The food is of a high quality and wine is often served with your meal.
The Island Roamer is used on the Spirit Bears and Humpback Whales of British Columbia tour, where it will be your home for about 7 days. Sailing through inlets, exploring granite cliffs and salmon-rich streams you will look out for grizzly bears, the all-white Kermode bear (Spirit bear) and humpback whales! These excursions have limited space of about 14 guests.
Children over 6 are generally allowed, however it is up to the parent to decide whether you child is ready for the requirements of group travel, will enjoy the experience and not compromise it for others. We suggest you speak to your Destination Specialist to discuss the specific trip requirements so you can decide on what is best.
