Setting
Brooks Falls Lodge overlooks the river from just a mile or so away, in the heart of Katmai National Park.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are 16 modern cabins, each with a rustic feel, sleeping 2 – 4 guests in bunk beds. The cabins all have private facilities.
The main lodge has fantastic views over Lake Naknek and a circular fireplace, popular with guests sharing the stories of the day. There is also a lodge bar where cocktails can be purchased from the afternoon through to the evening.
Dining
There are 3 meals per day, serving Alaskan food, buffet style.
Activities
The renowned bear viewing is available only a short walk (approximately 1 mile) from the lodge at Brooks Falls on Brooks River. The Bear viewing here is fantastic and the sport fishing here is world famous. You can also join a daily tour to the “Valley of 10,000 Smokes”, the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in history!
Child Policy
Children over 6 are generally allowed, however it is up to the parent to decide whether you child is ready for the requirements of group travel, will enjoy the experience and not compromise it for others.
