The first arts boutique hotel in Peru, Hotel B is a restored Belle Époque mansion with its very own art collection, an authentic atmosphere and sublime accommodation for guests.
Among the galleries and artists’ studios in Lima, it is located just minutes from the Pacific Coast, on the corners of Boulevard Saenz Peña and Calle San Martin – the heart of a bohemian revival neighbourhood. It is close to historic Downtown and Miraflores, about a 40 minute drive from Lima’s International Airport.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are 17 rooms in total, each coming under the category of Atelier, Chamber or Studio. The 5 Atelier rooms each have King beds and either a foyer or a terrace overlooking the boulevard – these rooms have a rollaway bed on request. There are 8 Chamber rooms, a little smaller in size with views to Calle San Martin or the inner patio. The 4 studio rooms are a bit smaller again. All rooms are en-suite and located either in the main house or the contemporary wing. Rooms also have complimentary wireless internet, a minibar, plasma TV with HD channels and an iPod docking station. In all of the rooms, you will find air conditioning, an in room safety deposit box, slippers and sundries.
The guest areas include a large reception, complete with attentive staff, a huge glamorous living room and a library, decorated with books and maps reminiscent of a bygone era. The central patio separates the old house from the contemporary wing, and there is also airy lounge and a private outdoor rooftop lounge, or Sundowner deck, with a full bar and light menu.
The exquisite restaurant serves old and new Peruvian cuisine, a great introduction to Lima’s budding restaurant scene. You can also eat in the dining room, open for coffees, meals and drinks, El Lonche great for afternoon snacks and relaxation or try some fresh seafood and an educated selection of wines in the bar.
For those of you with an interest in the arts there are lots of galleries around and, of course, the hotels very own collection. You will also have the opportunity for private viewings and special events. There are lots of other things to see and do whilst in Lima, including the Plaza de Armas, Church of San Francisco, Aliaga House, Lima Art Museum and Larco Museum, as well as the Pucillana Temple, El Malecon, LArcomar and more.
