Known as the ‘Tourist Capital of Peru’ its history dates back to pre-Inca times and there are many archaeological sites to visit during your stay. Explore the Plaza de Armas (main square) and visit the cathedral, witness the most famous archaeological site in the city, Qoricancha or the artistic neighbourhood of San Blas. You can also visit impressive Sacsayhuaman, a very impressive religious complex or head to one of many museums, including the Museum of Religious Art or the Per-Colombia Art Museum.
