About La Casona De La Ronda

About La Casona De La Ronda

Located on Quito’s oldest street, La Ronda, this is an excellent place to stay during your stay here, brimming with history from the first Inca settlers, to the Bohemian underground of the 1930s. A new addition to Quito’s accommodation, this stylish hotel was once an old mansion, and has now been remodelled according to very strict municipal regulations for historic buildings. Owned by a renowned restaurateur, you’ll find an exciting cuisine too.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are 22 rooms, with the option of singles, doubles or suites. Each room is as charming as the next, with the added comforts of anti-noise windows, wireless internet access and a private en-suite bathroom with a shower and hand shower. Floors are made from polished wood, and the furnishings feature intricate, carved designs, all hand carved by master craftsmen.

There is also a craft store, reading room and a fireplace, as well as room service. Laundry on request.

Owned by a famous Quito restaurateur, the food here is wonderful. Yet there are many exciting places to eat in Quito, so it is worth venturing out, whether for some quick street food, or a nice meal at a restaurant.

The narrow streets of La Ronda feature a range of small restaurants and bars, including reportedly the world’s narrowest bar, Inte Peña. Explore Baroche architecture, art galleries and quirky shops, then head out even further into Quito where you will find colonial churches, the Plaza de San Francisco and El Panecillo.
